I am very pleased to welcome you to my new blog, where I will be posting updates about the York University community as well as providing insights into some of my favourite campus events, activities and initiatives.

This site will also be the new home of the Kudos Report that is produced monthly during the school year by the Office of the President. Featuring the many diverse achievements and contributions of the York community across our campuses,  the Kudos Report is an excellent place to start if you are looking for a sense of the kinds of updates I will be sharing on this new blog.

Being the President of York University is a very rewarding—and busy—job. I hope to use this blog as a way to stay connected to the York community and to share with you some of the things I enjoy most about my job at the helm of this great institution.

While I admit that launching this blog is new territory for me, I am reminded of—and spurred on by—our University motto: Tentanda Via. The way must be tried.
